General information about the TAPAS TOURS:
• What is a Tapas Tour? A tapas tour is a guided experience that takes you to various local establishments (restaurants, taverns, bars) to sample typical Spanish dishes and drinks of the region while learning about the culture and history of Madrid.
• What's included in the Tour price? The tour price includes a local guide who will share their knowledge of the city and possibly the local culture. Food and drinks sampled along the way are not included and must be paid separately.
At the start of the tour, we'll collect the amount for food and drinks. My recommendation is €30 per person, so you can enjoy 3 drinks and a selection of high-quality tapas. If you'd like to spend less, that's of course no problem.
• What's the atmosphere like on your tours? We're relaxed and easygoing! We're on first-name terms and want to give you a pleasant evening where you feel at home.
• How long does the tour last? The duration of our tours varies, but is typically 2.5 hours.
• What happens if it rains? Our tours generally take place regardless of the weather. We make exceptions in extreme weather conditions or unforeseen events such as severe storms or power outages that would make the tour impossible. In such cases, we will contact you asap/ in advance if possible.
About food and drink:
• How much food will be sampled on the tour? Is it enough? Definitely! The amount of food sampled on the tour is equivalent to a full meal for most people. Don't come with a full stomach. Experience shows that around €30 per person is enough to eat and drink enough during the tour. This is, of course, only a guideline and depends on your individual preferences.
• What kind of food will we try? On each tour, we'll sample a variety of typical Spanish dishes, with a focus on Madrid's local cuisine.
• Are there options for people with dietary restrictions (vegetarians, vegans, allergies, etc.)? Yes, we try to accommodate most dietary restrictions if we are informed before booking. Please indicate your dietary requirements when booking.
Participation:
• Do you have to walk a lot?
Our tours include walks between the various "stations," but are generally not strenuous hikes. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes. The approximate walking distance is 1.2 kilometers/0.75miles.
• Do you have to stand a lot or can you sit down while eating?
Lunch Tapas Tour & Evening Tapas Tour: To give you an authentic Spanish tapas experience, we'll visit restaurants, taverns, and bars where eating is traditionally done standing up or at standing tables. Seating isn't always guaranteed, as bar stools are often unavailable, especially in the lively bar and counter areas.
For groups of 7 or more people: I would recommend to "sit down", and I would make table reservations for us.
• Are the tours suitable for children?
Children are generally welcome on our tours. However, the appropriateness of the tour depends on the child's age and interests. The duration and type of food sampled may not be ideal for younger children. Based on our experience, we recommend our tours for ages 14 and up. Feel free to ask us if you're unsure!
• Can strollers or wheelchairs be brought along?
Accessibility may vary depending on the tour route and the establishments visited. Please contact us before booking if you have any specific accessibility needs so we can inform you.
• Are we allowed to take photos and videos during the tour?
Of course! We encourage you to capture your favorite moments.
Bookings and cancellations:
• How can I book a tour?
You can easily book via our website or by phone or WhatsApp in the "Our Tapas Tour & Prices" section.
• Can I change the date of my booking?
Depending on availability and timing, we may be able to make changes to your booking date. Please contact us as soon as possible to discuss options.
• Do you also offer tours for groups of 12 or more people?
Absolutely! We welcome larger groups. For groups of 12 or more, we offer tailor-made private tours. Contact us so we can discuss the details and create an unforgettable tour for you.
Cancellation process
We understand that things can come up, and that's why we're flexible.

Cancellations with full refunds: We understand that plans sometimes change. Therefore, we accept cancellations with a full refund of the amount paid, provided we are notified at least 48 hours before the scheduled tour start date.

Last-minute cancellations: Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the tour start date are non-refundable, as we have already made arrangements for your participation within this time period. If you chose to pay cash, you will be send an invoice via Email for the Tour.

No-show: If you do not show up at the agreed meeting point at the start time of the tour, you will still be charged for the tour. If you chose to pay cash, you will be send an invoice via Email for the Tour.

Cancellation by us: We reserve the right to cancel the tour due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. These may include, but are not limited to, extreme weather conditions, insufficient participants, or the guide's illness. In such cases, we will offer you, at your option, a full refund of the amount paid or the opportunity to reschedule the tour to another available date.
Additional points to note:

Group Policy: For group bookings of 6 or more people, cancellations must be made at least 96 hours (4 days) prior to the tour start date to receive a full refund. For cancellations made between 96 and 48 hours prior to the tour start date, we will refund 50% of the paid amount. For cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to the tour start date or in the event of a no-show, unfortunately, no refund is possible and you will be charged regardless of the cancellation.

Refunds: For tours paid for by bank transfer or cash on-site, refunds will be made by bank transfer to the account you provided. Please note that it may take up to 7 business days for the amount to be credited to your account.
