The Barrio de las Letras, also known as the Quarter of the Muses or the Literary Quarter, is a particularly charming corner of Madrid and by far my personal favorite. A stroll through its cobbled streets transports you to the golden age of Spanish literature, as great figures such as Cervantes, Lope de Vega, and Quevedo lived and wrote here.
